Stella Corally kindly came in to dicuss how she has used the idea of up cycling.She describes her work as being primary focused on plastic's. To understand her work better she asked us what we thought of plastic as a group, where we responded that it reminds us of flexibly, man made and un- environment. The reason for this was because even though plastic is seen as un-environmental it is used in most of our everyday life and in some ways it seen as a way of making our everyday simpler. within in her work she experiments with plastics by making them adaptable, dying plastic, pressure moulding and the use of vinyl(thin plastic). She also commented that by recycling all mediums such as plastic in other unconventional ways in a way to cut down our carbon foot print.
In my opinion, I found this talk very useful and made me ware of new technquies and designs that will be a great help towards my final project.
